CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Arlean Tessler, LMT, received her training at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. She received additional training at the Upledger Institute where she achieved certification in CST I, CST II, SER I,
SER II, and CST for Pediatrics. With more than 10 years experience as a CranioSacral therapist, Arlean has served as a
Teaching Assistant in CST 1, CST 2, and SomatoEmotional Release workshops at the Upledger Institute for more than 7
years.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger, M.D. following extensive scientific
studies conducted at Michigan State University from 1975 to 1983. CST addresses restrictions in the craniosacral system,
which includes the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a light
touch, the CST practitioner evaluates the pulsing rhythm of the patient’s craniosacral system to detect and correct
imbalances. Beneficial for infants, children and adults, CranioSacral Therapy improves the functioning of the central
nervous system and reverses the effects of stress.

By complementing the body’s natural healing processes, CST is increasingly being used as a preventive health measure for
its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and
dysfunction, including:
